Screen washer motor, doing my head in now!

Right, about January time my washer motor gave up on life, well thats what I thought.

Waited a month for the part from cliospares, got it today and the washer still doesnt work, I belive it to be too unlucky that the replacement washer is broken too so I assume its something else on the car.

When using the stalk all the othr items work other than washer front and washer rear, could it be the stalk thats the problem? Ive got a spare one here anyway but how hard is it to change over, a simple surround off and swap or will the wheel have to come out too?

What possible other problems could there be? ive checked the fuse and thats fine.

I got mine new from GSF. Costs about £15 IIRC. Perhaps the part is duff.

Did you check the fuse?

it's simples to swap over.
take the wheel surround off
then two torx holding the stalk on(torx 8 i think!!)

no need to take the steering wheel off.


to check the motor just shove 2 wires in the connectors and connect striaght to the battery
if it whines it works

Yeah I was thnking this, but two dud parts is abit odd.

Yep, checked and looked fine, replaced just in case and it still doesnt work.
