screetching sound when in lower gears

hi there

jus got an issue here, got a clio 1.6 2003 dynamic(manual), started recently and will send to my mechanic but wondering if there might be other issues, when i put it into 1st to 4th gear there's a loud screething sound coming from the gearbox area, just recently done my clutch so its worring me why this would happen

Sod's law that the box was out and now it sounds fecked. Welcome to Renault ownership :-/

It could be the thrust bearing on the clutch or the end of the main shaft screeching against the thrust washer where it sits in the flywheel.
