Scuffed an alloy

  VW Potato

Oh well, it was gonna happen at somepoint. Ten months into ownership and I now have a scuffed loy. A combination of a high kerb, lazy parking and viewing some eye candy has resulted in an inch-long scuff. Its not too deep but is noticeable.

Thing is, while Im not precious about my car (its a car - no matter how careful i am with it, it will get damaged at somepoint) I do have an odd view on scuffed wheels - no matter how neat a car is, if the wheels are scuffed its kinda wrong...like someone really fit having smelly feet, if that makes any sense? To me, scuffed wheels are like a filthyness.

Well if its only the 1 and it bothers you so much why not put the spare on? you can then get the damaged 1 repaired for about £35

I did mine a week ago. The car was less than a month old. I was gutted.

Got it fixed last Friday. You cant tell its ever been touched. I took it to a S.M.A.R.T place that do bumps, scratches, alloys, fag burms etc. They said it could take up to 4 hours, but actually took a little over an hour 20.

No one could see the scratch on mine, but I knew it was there and that bothered me. Just get it fixed. I waited with mine as I hate using the spare. Ive got this sad problem where my spare has to be brand new!!
