SDSL/EFM lines

  182 Full of Fat
Company are needing a service to host servers off so NEED high upload speed. We live possibly as far away as you can from the exchange so standard adsl/adsl2 won't suffice. The exchange is EFM and SDSL enabled though. Price isn't really an issue but a lower cost would always be welcomed.

Need abit of info/prices because struggling on the net tbh, or any other options. Had a quick look at bonding but again the speeds we can achieve or to low to gain a good upload.

Cheers

Hi,

SDSL and EFM are completely both different technologies as you know, normally a 1:1

ADSL and ADSL 2+, for business are normally 10: 1 / 20: or sometimes even 50:1, which means that your download is going to be significantly bigger than your upload.

Bonded routers(normally) is simply where companies companies cannot afford a good line, or they can't get it, and bond 3 or more ADSL 2+ lines together to increase their upload and download speeds, however, SLA's and latency are normally an issue. (specially latency whilst using VoIP)

All depends on your post code as to what you can get and more importantly, what pricing you get.

We use a company called Net Premacy for most of our stuff, which use the EasyNet network. They are good, happy with them, but looking to change from our 8MB SHDSL networks to 100mb circuits, just because they are getting well cheap, so if you have two offices, backups even quicker ;)

How many people in your offices and more about your setup please.

G.
