seat belt tensioners....

I got a ph2 valver which obviousy comes with seat belt tensioners. swapped the seats for leather ones (thanks night.icon) but they are ph1 so dont have the seat belt tensioner. Does this really matter? MOT wise etc?? Easy to swap round if need be?
