Seat springs squeak whilst driving? Why?

Anyone had this? Kinda sounds like a squeaky matress when making lurve!!! What do I need to look out for?

Whatever you do, don't ask Renault to sort it under warranty.

I asked them 90,000 miles ago to sort mine, and you can see from this picture, that their hopeless attempt at sorting it is still visible on the back of my seat today...

That was the only time someone other than Rentech Mike has had their hands on my car

Are you sure its the seat? My drivers subframe was replaced as it squeaked exactly like you mentioned mate.

That was after i kicked off as renaults solution to a squeaky subframe was to cover it in vaseline. And i mean cover.
Looks like they've used lube or summat inside your seat mark?

If its not that look for a cheap seat, the springs will have gone as they would in a mattress.

Mine stopped squeaking the day they did this and never has squeaked since.

Probably is vaseline, it's certainly 'greasy'.
