Is it possible to put civic type r seats in the clio

Possible yes im sure, but if you mean will they just bolt straight in like trophy seats do for example then no.

Im thinking of putting some in my mk1 but will just make a way of mounting the whole honda seat subframe if I do so.

If you're talking about 30th Anniversary, or Premier edition seats (Recaro) then yes, easy. Just buy the Clio subframes from Recaro.

If you're on about the single holed 'Type R' embroidered standard seats, I wouldn't bother - they're pap.

You will probably be able to unbolt the type r subframes from the seats and make the seats fit the clio subfames, thats what ive done in mine, ive got a set of impreza seats in the clio, only needed a bit 2" box section and a mig
