Second Hand 182s - points to look for

Guys i no this has been posted iv been searching but quickly paste up the things you would look out for when buying a second had 182 less than 10k on the clock and its an 04 plate.

what should i check/ look out for?

You'll still have a year's warranty on it, Dave.

So Reno can sort out anything, if there was a problem.

Make sure it hasn't been hit, check panel gaps etc.
Check tyres for even wear across the tread.
And that it has the service book stamped, if it has passed the 12k mark.

Are you going to check it out tomorrow?

AFAIK it's 500 miles either side of 12k.

Check oil, as mine was running very low at about 10k.

not sure its at a dealers going to check it ou as soon as they call me back with a part ex value. as soon as i have time to get there.

It should be okay then, you can take out an extended warranty with Reno as well, might be good to try and get that thrown in, at time of buying.

Make sure it has the mats as well, and the cargo net for the boot.

And definitely take it for a test drive.

You'll buy it for sure after that.

I think you'll notice a bit more than just alot more power. The difference in the corners is astounding. Hehe

Same rattles though.

I doubt they will budge on price much, if you are trading in your one against it.

If you went in with a bag full of cash, then you would have the upper hand.

Make sure you get some road tax on it, and full tank of fuel.

How much are they looking for it?

dealers will keep you happy from my experience, I got £3500 off list way back in June 04 just cause I asked what the best they could do was! people are paying more now than I paid back then muahaah

well be prepared for some torque steer, watch out for wet drain covers and dont be flooring it as you leave a junction, straighten up before you plant it! no point flooring first, wait for 2nd and nail it muahaha u'll shight your pants the first few times when you're doing 100 before you know it.

lol im excited! i hit 100 in my car really easy but obvisouly not as quick, think they want about 10300 for it and im looking for about 6000 part ex for mine probably only get 5500 tho.

just to give you an idea about trade in price mate i traded my 1.4 dynamique 53 plate(03)with 13k on it for 5400 he started at 4600 lol

that was 7 months back and the 182 still makes me like a kid on xmas day morning

go for it
