Second hand RSTuner easy to use?

Using my pals RSTuner to 98Ron map my 182 is it pretty straight forward? Some people have made it look complicated on here!

very easy. You need to buy another unlock code + another copy of the map if his is the locked version (if it has EL in the filename, its the locked version). there is a full guide on fastchip.nl and on here on how to do it.

Is it worth doing aswell? Okay nice one mate so if it says EL on the map title name i need another? if not i can use that?

its a doddle to do,and the difference noticeable,you lose a lot of the 5k kick but the car is so much smoother,it stopped the cold start hesistating on my cup,worth it alone for that

Losing the 5k kick means you gain more low down torque.

Definitely worth doing. Smooths the car out all the way up the rev range, got rid of the lumpy-ish idle on my 172. Best thing you can do tbh/imo

Done mine a few weeks, ago, well worth it, easy to do as well, I was worried about messing with the ECU, just make sure you back it up before you re-write it just in case, also another good thing to remember is, if you haven't got a really strong battery on the car, attach a battery charger, you don't want it going flat whilst doing it, although it doesn't take long anyway...

Okay nice, how long in total? And how much does it work out for the license + map? My pal said he noticed his car running cooler aswell. Always a good thing.

I think I paid £120 for the tuner and about £80 for the unlock code and map, bearing in mind you can then sell your tuner for the money you bought it for, but I kept mine as a diagnostic tool.....

Mine took about 10 mins to backup and 10 mins to re-write

I sold mine for 110 lastweek , about £70 for map and unlock

How long it usually take to get the codes of henk? And does he respond on a weekend?

And you have to unlock it to the previous owners car that correct?
