Securing car cover

Evening folks,
Bought a car cover for the 911 as I don't have a garage, it sits on the drive pretty much all of the year, and the weather is f**king woeful at best.

I tried to get the oem one but porsche ignored my email with regards to which one I should get for an aerokitted car, and I'm not paying £300 and guessing, so I bought one from someone who had a 997.2 aerokit car.

The cover fits the car OK, in that it covers the full thing, and clips behind the front/in front of the rear wheels and it is pretty secure.
However with the winds we've been having today, the front begins to creep up like so:

Any ideas on a solution, I'll probably get the oem cover if porsche confirm what one I need, but presume it could suffer the same fate, as this fits quite well overall.

I thought maybe one or two of these on the bumper below the number plate... Would you have any concerns about having a spring loaded clamp on it for a prolonged period of time?

Similar issues with the car cover I used when it gets windy. They have three straps that are behind the front wheels, middle and in front of the rear wheels so the bonnet and boot are a bit loose. I ended up running a ratchet strap over the bonnet of the car to in front of the front wheels and then wedged a big sponge on the wheel arch part where then strap went under the car and wrapped the ratchet bits in a few cloths to help spread any load and stop potential damage. Seemed to have worked as the wings are all fine. I have not had the straps on for a while now since the bad weather has died down a bit. But a while back I was putting the covers back on and had my little mat with me so I led on that and pulled the straps as tight as they would go under - like the clips are about half way under the car now and not just pulled tight, it and it is so much better, no idea why I didn't think of that before. The front and back doesn't seem to want to come up and it doesn't move side to side either. The wind has yet to pick up what it was like over the winter so only time will tell if I need to add the extra straps. Ideally they need a strap or two to go front to back and not just side to side.

If I end up living here for longer without a garage I am going to invest in some tailored covers so they fit perfect.

I bought two of those spring clips so they're there if I need them & pulled everything that little bit tighter, it's not moved in 2 days and it's been pretty windy, so fingers crossed that's it.

It's a bit s**t to get the straps under the car, the front end of the car is f**king long and so I can't reach it, been using a push rod for now but that's not really convenient

Same, I have been using a broom to wrap the clips around and push that under the car to get them to the other side. And when I have been doing them up recently the only way to get them proper tight is to lie on the floor and pull the strap at sull stretch under the car, which again is a pain if you are doing it often!
I might look at the same clamps you have got as that is a good idea tbh.

I have a couple of cars with covers on for long periods and I use a couple of those exact spring clips in your picture. They dint mark the bodywork but make sure the flat bit is the only bit touching.
In terms of the straps, my wife suggested using a litter picker and it's one of her better ideas... 😀
