securing harnees to rear strut brace?? - with pictures!

  CLIO PH1 172
Securing harnees to my rear strut brace, couple of questions-

1. Can I actually do this

2. Whats the proper way of attaching them

So yestday i got the drivers bucket seat in my car and while i was at it i also fitted my rear brace. it then got me thinking, instead of fixing my harnesses to the usual seat belt points can I wrap them around the brace? - like I would if i had a cage with a harness bar?

I tried it with one belt and it was bloody strong, as much as i tugged on it it didn't budge ?

Heres some pics to show how i attached it (obv the one on the right)

You will die if you crash. There is no where near enough strength in that bar to hold you in an impact!

There is no way that the 2 nuts holding the brace in have the strength to support you and the forces generated in an accident!

If you are involved in a crash at 30mph, the average person’s body weight is multiplied between 20 to 60 times its own weight depending on the dynamics of the crash. For the average person this means, the effective weight of their body can be up to 3.5 tonnes (about the weight of a fully grown male hippo) in a 30mph crash.

How hard did you tug?
