W White16valver Aug 15, 2007 #2 Cat 2 immobiliser will help (slightly). Cat 1 Alarm/immobiliser will help a little bit more. Either way, you'll probably pay more for the protection than you get off the insurance lol Worth it for peace of mind though Just get a decent make and get it fitted properly so you get a certificate to keep the insurance companies happy!

cat171 ClioSport Club Member Aug 15, 2007 #3 If you have uk 172 it'll have a cat 1 alarm on it already. Things like a disklok (cat 3 rated) aren't counted as they go on the highest rated item. Even if you have a tracker like me, it makes no difference.
