When sat at the lights today after about 15 minutes of driving i noticed that the rev needle was bouncing slightly off "10", i havent noticed this before, although it has only started since the exhaust started blowing could these be related?

Perhaps.

Mine always 'hunts' at idle, the higher tuned engines just do I guess! *shrugs*

an exhaust leak could cause it mate

when ur exhaust is fixed,if its still doing it then id say take ur idle control valve off and give it a clean
