Selling advice

  182
Unfortunately i've got to sell my 182. Just need some advice on what it might be worth and if i should sell it with the prospeed exhaust on or put the standard one back on?
It's a black gold 04 with just under 16000 on the clock.
Would £9,500 be achievable?
Any help appreciated, thanks

If you've still got your standard exhaust and you don't mind the hassle of swapping them over i'd do that. Get more money for your prospeed 2nd hand i'd of thought than the value it'd add to your car, if that makes sense.

As for price, if your car is clean and bodywork is mint and assuming its got both cup packs then I can't see why you wouldn't get that for it, or very close to.

Why you selling mate, I had mine up for sale a while back (exactly same spec) but I've decided to keep as I love it so much.

  Turbos.
Was looking on Autotrader and a blue 182 with around the same mileage was just £8,500. Not a sellers market sadly...

I've injured my spine and need to have an operation, so i'm going to be out of action for quite a while. I've got no money coming in and a big ass loan to pay, so my only option is to sell the car to make payments each month. Bit of a nightmare to be honest.
I do have the standard exhaust, but swapping over would be a lot of hassle. Any idea how much it would cost to get that swapped over?
It does have the cup pack etc, but the front left wheel is scuffed. was going to get that fixed tho.
£8,500 just wouldn't do unfortunately.

Sorry to hear about the back, that sucks.

Looking at about £50 to get them swapped over i'd have thought (thats what prospeed would charge anyway).

£8,500 lol! your kidding. I got offered £8600 part ex at two different dealers when i was considering getting rid.

I'm sure you'd get £9300 for it mate advertised properly.

Thanks for your help Rhys.
Where do u recomment advertising? Never sold a car before so a bit unsure. Autotrader is expensive isn't it? Anywhere free thats good? Would a renault dealer buy it? I guess they would try a rip me off tho.

Renault will only give you trade price, unless you know someone that works at a dealer and can sort something better out for you. I've sold cars on autotrader, ebay and freeads (adtrader now) before. The adtrader being the cheapest option. As long as you don't overprice your car then it shouldn't be a waste of money.

Ebay is the easiest place to sell these days but you won't get as much as other places. Its just convinient.

Adtrader is quite good i find (mainly for cheaper cars though) and costs about £6 off top of my head.

IMO with a car like the 182 i'd go for 2 weeks on autotrader website which costs £15.95 i think, massive audience and most people are willing to travel to get the right car when spending close to £10K. Just make sure your advert is spot on and get as many good quality photos on there as you can.

If your looking for a quick sale, I'd put it in for £9495 ono and see what interest you get. You can always drop the price then after the first week or so. Hope this helps.

also forgot to say, if you pay the £5 membership here then you can advertise it on here. Or sign up to renaultsport.co.uk for free and advertise there as well. At least you should get serious buyers that way and it stays within 'the club' so to speak and should be cherished/looked after better.

and if you do decide to sell the prospeed separately let me know as i'm saving up for one at the moment.
