Selling you ClioSport???

  182 Cup Racing Blue
If you are then please keep the price to the book price!!!!! Clio's are worth more than people are advertising them for!!! don't give them away!! prices seem to be getting lower and lower!!

  330i. E30 Touring.
A car is only worth what someone will pay for it though. Nothing to do with a book price, that's just a guide.

  RenaultSport clio 182
had to sell my immaculate 05 182 with 18,000 miles on for 7800 last month, book price is over 9K, but as above, book price means nothing. I think people expect a lot especially when selling on here and pistonheads.

Yeah I think lots of car enthusiasts (including myself) do over estimate the value of their cars and think or hope their car isn't subject to normal depreciation e.g. 3 yrs 36,000 average loss 60% of value!

The thing with seeling or buying from an enthusiast club is that people who uprate parts expect for that money to be reflected at sale time, and a normal buyer won't see the value. The only way really is to sell a car standard and put the parts on here. Must be a better return.

it works both ways really book price on my ralle was £730....

it sold for 3.2k

a cars worth what someone will pay

  Elise 111R
best example is Classic Minis look at the book price for say a Mint Paul Smith special (basically a cooper) i think its 5k at most look in the classifieds and a mint on will set you back upwards of 7k!! Even std minis prices bare no relation to the book price.

If we all sold are Clio's at the book price then the market would have no choice but to buy them at that! People who are selling their Clio's at low prices are hurting the resale value for all Clio owners.....just stick to the book price!!!

That's a nice dream but it's not going to happen is it.

People would buy something else. Its only a small percentage of people such as enthusiasts who set there mind on one make or model of car.

But if you want a quick sale then sometimes it's best to put the car up at a cheap price. 172 and 182's are going for hardly anything these days! Seems like everyone is panicing and selling them cos they are depreciating so quickly!

^^ but that is part of the viscious circle isn't it - if everybody sells them so cheap of course the depreciation is quicker/greater !!! ;)

Agreed.
Book price is often a load of b****cks, book price on my Clio was about £2.2k, people were biting my arm of at £2,800, when did you last see a 1.2 16v on 59k for £2.2k!!
It was the same with the Lupo, according to the book price I well overpayed, but somebody offered me £1k more than I payed the other day.
I would say market it and price it based on other cars on the market.

there isn't enough people of cliosport to make a difference though. Everyone would just think we are overpricing them!

"ClioSport Driving the Book Price Down" seen it on to many other forums before, everyone wants something for nothing.

I suppose that one of the reasons that they go for cheaper on here is that nobody swallows some of the BS that sellers try and feed you on other sites. Theres too many people on here that know too much about clios for sky high prices (inflated by BS) to exist.
