sensor in back of inlet manifold?

Hi guys, I've just swapped from a ph2 inlet manifold to a ph1 so that I can run a cable operated throttle. Anyway theres a hole in the back of it by the throttle body where a sensor clearly goes but what is it as there isn't one on the ph2 inlet?

What does IACV stand for sorry? And do I need it (obviously the hole will need blanking even if no sensor is fitted)

Idle control valve, on a ph2 it's done using the throttle body so is not needed
