Serious handling problem !!!!

hi, jus fitted some 40mm lowering springs and 17" alloys on my 1.4 16v, and now it handles like my escort van! when i turn the back seems to follow seconds later, does anybody know what could be up with it, have i fitted the shocks in wrong?

erm, hard to say without seeing the car, but sounds like something is pretty wrong

Are they the right springs for the car?

Everything fitted right? No spare bits left over?

Springs seated correctly?

all shocks ok? might have a burst rear shock? you didn't pop your anti roll bar off when fitting them did you?

could be a totally seperate issue it may have just been highlighted more cos u have lowered it ! get it checked out i had a big problem with my car with the handling. thank goodness it is all nice and fixed now!!

Its not a kit, its just a full set of 172 bumpers, skirts and wings.

as bmh said just 172 kit basically... quite straighforward to fit etc.

haha... the best sideways action for me was in a Vauxhaull Brava 2.5 pick-up with rear wheel and optional 4x4 drive. Wet roundabouts were great fun.... although took it too far once with a 180 spin.
