serv/airbag light with belt removal

hi all

I have just been out and completed my rear seat removal by getting rid of the seat belts from the back, unbolting with the star bolt and unclipping the wire.

however I now have the serv light up + air bag light.

does the rear of the car have some sort of air bag involved somewhere?

or is it just coincidence?

if it is removing the rear belts that has caused this they will definately need to be returned as it is going to be a problem on the mot + I don't want the service light on constantly.. it is always alarming to see if you know what I mean.

Seat belt pretensioners will be flagging an error code to the servo light.

To get it switched off you will need to have the error code turned off or put in some resistors.

Wirral182 is doing something similar.

mot dont check airbags! as not al cars have them! so dont worry about that..

thought if it had them, they had to work, so light on = fail? ahhhh.. mot not til april next year but just a worry

my airbag and serv light is on and one of my rear seat belts is jammed so i dont no if that is causing the lights to come on,

Mot won't matter nthey can do nothing about it regards failing the car

no air bag its the pretensioners though which work on the rear seats
