SERV LIGHT ALREADY

  Mondeo STTDCI

Should I bother going in?

Had the SERV light on along with the ABS light and the car on a slippery road in a triangle light on.

Switched off igntion and they were gone.

Was straight after I had been a bit twitchy on the brakes at a downhill traffic light. Driven 30miles since and not a flicker.

What do u think? Jay?

Get it back to the dealer the ABS comes on when its failing so it could have been anything from a one off to a faulty sensor etc. If the abs works fine Id get it booked in asap but no big worry otherwise.

Its always worth going in gove em some sh*t they diserve it reduce them to tears if you can. At the end of the day you have paid for the privledge. They might build these french rockets on wheels a little better if we all complain together

the ABS light well come on if only two wheels are acshally gripping, offtern happend is the snow its nothing to worry about but, if you go on a rolling road it does the same as it thinks there is a falt. But if ur worried take to a garage

Jay isnt here at the moment as he is moving house and doesnt have a computer for now but when he does he will be back.

I think most of us have had the SERV light on, especially if the passenger seat has been moved/slid forwards or backwords. Ive had it and I think there are some wires underneath the seat that wiggle about.

As scribbs said I had the seatbelt pretensioner problem in my other clio so I know its not that. Plus havent moved the seats recently.

Think ill see what happens. If it appears again Ill take it in. Just really dont wanna take it to the monkeys at Renault. ATM the car is absolutely mint. Would hate it to come out scratched etc.

i had this after about 2k miles, toom it to renault and they said ti was a know fault with the software and they were looking for a fix. Said if it happened again to bring it in but if not to not worry about it. 10k miles later and they havent come on again together.

I wouldnt worry.
