SERV light & servicing help!

After some simple advice really. I bought the car 2 months ago on 10k and have since covered another 8k miles (yeah i know i cant stop driving it :approve: )

Now i was under the impression that the car would tell me when it wanted a service (like my BMW used to) so ive just been carrying on using it since then.

Now its on 18k and no sign of a 'SERV' light coming on, shall i just get the thing serviced? No stamps in the book so far but it was bought my the previous owner at 8k and it 'apparently' had a pre-sale service then - perhaps they reset the light?!?!

the serv light only comes on if theres a fault
its due a service at 12k or 2 years so your 6k out of service so your warrentys proberly void

Assumptions are dangerous. Hope your Renault dealer are feeling generous!

All booked in at Renault for the 24k mile service just to be sure I did an oil change and checked it over at 12k so i know there nowt wrong with it . . . . runs like a dream :evil:

it needs a 12k there no point getting a 24k done at 18
its gonna mess round with any warrenty clam you make

are the new 182's not every 18k servicing then?? I'm sure that is what i have read on the website / elsewhere..... (potential purchaser here.....! )
