Service history

  Mini Cooper S JCW
When I bought my 172cup I took a risk buying it with part history, only reason I did this was the most recent servicing, cambet/dephaser and all the usual bits n bobs replace or renewed were done by Fred at BTM, with all invoices and receipts. ( service book was lost somewhere along the line of previous owners )
Car is now due a regular oil and filter service, should I continue to use a specialist to build up some decent history?

Might as well Fred's prices are pretty reasonable any :)

Forgot to add.......im in Scotland so nearest specialist is SWR in Stirling.
If I was close to Fred I would continue to use his services.

I bought a car with part history, (similar to you lost service book) what I've done is get a generic service book and keep a record of what has been done in there, and then a folder with as many of the bills and receipts as possible. I'd look to use a specialist and keep receipts.

Just keep all invoices and receipts from now on in a box file. You can get blank Renault service booklets iirc, just get that specialist to stamp it for you and away you go
