Service intervals?

How often should I service my 172?

Its just hit 75k and the history isnt too good. Its got stamps but not many reciepts. :S

Ive booked it in today for

• Dephaser pulley £130.64 + Fitting
• Cambelt £168.74 + Fitting
• Oil and Filter £3.79 + Oil
• Plugs £36 + Fitting
• Aux Belt 11.76 + Fitting

Anything else I should be getting done on this service?

2 years or 12,000 miles.

Aux belt at 36,000 (May as well do cam belt with it)


May as well get air filter and cabin filter done whilst its in.

I'd put an aux belt kit on rather than just the belt.

Normal service is 12k or 2 years
Auxbelt 36k or 5 years
Cambelt, 72k 5 years

yer if the history is vivid then its best to get everything done at once for piece of mind, make sure you get the aux belt KIT.
First thing i always do when i get a car is a major service and cambelt even if its all been done recently, just so i no ive done it and its all done properly.

Whats included in aux belt kit?

Struggled to find a kit.

Need my air-con regassing so will do both at the same time as its cheaper.

And am looking into getting an induction kit so air filter can wait aswell.

You get the tensioner and tension pulley in the kit. The pulley is known for failing and taking the aux belt and then cambelt out with it.
