Just put me motor in for it's 44k service at a renault dealership - £190 for the service and i've just had a call from them saying the rear brake pads need replacing (they charge £130) and the front wiper blades need replacing (they charge £30). I politely told them where to go!

Robbing b******s.

The £190.00 is a pretty good price though my 24k service is costing me £210.00 inc vat.

I expect they will tell me my wiper blades need replacing or the brake fluid needs changing.

Rear pads are a piece of piss. Do them yourself and save about 30-40 quid.

Remember the back brakes effectively do bugger all except for handbrake.
I done my own following a guide from this forum.

Why do people take there cars to Renault for servicing? You dont need to for warrenty reasons, so why not take it someware else, hence saving £££

For the renault stamp in the service book?!

People who buy these type of cars would prefer to see a specialist stamp in the service book, this shows that they actually care about the car and are likely to be an enthusiast.

FRSH means nothing, i would pay less for one.
