Servicing and warranty question

  RenaultSport clio 172 mk1
My girlfriends clio dci is due its first service and can't decide whether or not to have it serviced at a main Renault dealer or by an independant garage.

I'd do it myself as it's only a oil and filter change and cabin filter (aircon model) but as it's only a year old we need to keep the warranty intact.

I'm pretty sure that as long as an independant garage use genuine Renault parts (i'll buy them myself) and are VAT registered then the warranty isn't affected?

So looking at £80 (independant) instead of £170 (renault price).

What are people's opinions on FSH or FRSH etc?

I'd always go to Renault if your going to sell the car in under 3 years old. Infact its somehting I'd demand when buying a second hand car its got dealership stamps.

Shop round Renault you can get it done for £100.

not in s.wales you can't £166 is cheapest and thats renault minute in cardiff. The normal renault dealers (within 60 mile radius) want £200 which is a joke for something i could do myself in 30mins - 1 hour

appreciate what you are saying about renault stamps for under 3years old. Just weighing up the options
