Check the wording of the warranty, but I believe that under current legislation the dealer is not allowed to void a warranty if you use an independent to service the car, if they use genuine parts. That's what my dealer told me anyway - some of them are decent and you could just ring your local one, to be honest.
However, I believe this bit of legislation expires in early 2010 and is not currently scheduled to be renewed.
One other thing to think about though is who you would actually use to do the service - although Rentech are presumably reasonably local to you. Also, depending on who you do use, not having full renault service history may affect the value of the car when you come to sell it.
Was thinking about rentech, but was also thinking about the fact it would not be a full Renault history. Might just bite the bullet and take it to Renault as it does look better i guess. Just fancied someone who knows about cars doing the service
Being in Hampshire, id take it to Wokingham motors mate. Ive used a few of the big names on here, but have gone back to Wokingham motors. Know their stuff, reasonable prices and really really good service plus its a proper renault dealership so you're covered in that sense.
Wokingham motors, the peugeot dealer with a renault service bit on the side???? Near tescos?? They struggled with my 1.6's cambelt change a couple of years ago, apparently something to to with tensioning it???
