I have seem to have misplaced my servicing book, the car was serviced 7 month ago, got new brakes and oil and filters, its currently on 40k, will it need a service now?

what are the intervals?

any ideas?

I think its every 12,000 miles for the 172 so your last 1 should have been around 36,000 and your next should be 48,000

Depends on service 12/24/48/60k are £200~£250 depending where you go.
36k is £100~150 or so more as you need the aux belt changing.
72k is £600~700 or so.
Then again I'me very tired so i could be wrong.

when i bought my car i was impressed that it had frsh. but that was because i bought it off ebay and didnt have a chance to look at it untill the day i went to pay for it. i dont really want to pay £250 for some guy to change the oil, aux belt and possibly a new light bulb in the boot. i was just wondering if it would increase the selling price when i come to sell.

if it was done 7 months ago, it could've been the 36k service, which means it wont be due until 48k... assuming 12k service intervals...
