Setting up a BT router

Hi, RETARDED question, but im not with BT.

I need to set up a BT router today, i have had a confirmation email from BT to say its been set up, but i have not recieved a password or usename, do i just plug and play or what lol.

Also, anyone know where i can get the settings, VPI etc....

BT send their routers pre-configured, simply plug it in and you're away. If you've got any wireless devices - laptops, phones, PDAs etc - the wireless security key is on the bottom of the router.

Well i was told i would have to provide my own router, so i have.

Ah, from your message I got the impression that you had received your a router from BT.

What model router do you have?

Sorry i should have stated that in my origional post. Its a belkin, and im running it now so its working okay. Thanks for the help. Passwords and stuff were in a letter that i had not seen untill i got here.
