Car  E39 530i
Having problems setting up WPA security on my router can someone please point me in the right direction? The router is an 54 mbps wireless DSL Gateway actiontec (gt701-wg). cant get it to work.

In what way can not you get it to work?

Have you enabled WPA and entered an encryption code and what type of encryption?

basicly i select WPA as the security, select next. It then brings up the wireless WPA settings.

Click Next to continue. Then brings up the following screen

Group Key Interval:

802.1x

Server IP Address:
Port:
Secret:

PSK String

not sure what to type where :S

Your using the wrong type of WAP.. Use WAP Personal TKIP not WAP Enterprise.

If you are trying to set security up via wireless, you might have problems on that type of router. Hard wire from your comp to router
