sevice book history?

Car  ibiza cupra
when i got my 172 it was missing the service book but as he still had a load of recepts from all the services. i recently decided to get a new blank service book as i didnt want the next person who buys the car to think it has not been looked after whilst in my care.
but now i have the blank book how do i go about filling in the previous history on it or do i just leave it blank and carry on from where the mileage is at the momment.

the earlyer services are but not all of them. could i take it to any renault dealers with the recepts as proof and get them to stamp it for me?

No but most reputable places keep records of what work they have done and when, Call each garage up and give them the registration number, if they have records on a database its just a case of popping in and getting them to stamp it.

If youve still got all the old receipts and the receipts for the stuff youve done theres nothing to worry about. Any buyer that has some common sense wont worry about it being stamped.

Most invoices these days will have exactly whats been done, the parts used and your reg on it.

Personally i'd rather see invoices/receipts etc as a Service history.

Books don't mean anything, anyone can stamp a book!
