This is what I took off the car on Monday!!

Halfords Discs and Pads.

Just fucked in general, front faces wasn't so bad.

Nearly launched myself through the windscreen once I fitted new stuff!!

Did you have to start braking 3 miles before the corner for them to stop the car?

I thought mine were bad, at least mine still had a small part of pad left on it.

Did you not hear them scream at you everytime you hit the pedal?

No screaming and stopping was ok.

I knew they where bad just been waitin on weather to car working on them.

No cover to work under so been a pain in the ass.

Ouch they dont look to good.

Out of interest, how much of a lip is acceptable on the disc?
My mum has just had hers changed, I checked them and bought new pads for the garage to fit and they have gone and changed the discs as well, when I didnt think they needed doing.

you should change them in pairs (discs and pads at the same time) preferably.

The disc will have a 'minimum thickness', which can be used as a guide, however on some, there's not a lot of difference between thickness when new and minimum thickness.

I have always just changed both at the same time in the past to be certain they are ok.

Another one out of interest... How would it play out if you had an accident and this was a contributing factor to not being able to avoid said hypothetical accident? Assuming its not been MOTd like this? Would the insurance still pay out even if you haven't maintained safety features properly?

MOT'd on 4th Dec and inspected by Renault on the 28th of last month, neither mentioned anything. They did change my bonnet catch tho lol

As said I knew they needed doing, was waiting on the weather, been driving the second car so it's not seen that much road use.
