Couple of hundred on tuition, you'll enjoy the car (and any future car's) far more than the other bits and pieces.

Good point fella, i'll look into it since i've decided not to buy the plate now. I'll get a DC5-releted one next year methinks...

I thought you always had that plate, Remember seeing it on your (?) old car a long time ago :S

from my experience the only thing a private plate does is attract more unwanted attention :(

the local fuzz seem to remember mine and they pull me pretty much every other weeks now

Private plates are common sound here, so never got any hassle. Never got plates related to the car though.

Seriously?!

For no reason too?

imo a plate like the turner one just singles the car out more if you know what i mean, whether it be people who know you, chavs recognising the car after seeing it a few times, coppers etc

ive had enough of it round here at the mo, ive been pulled and sent on a driver improvement course cos of the trimmed front plate, been stopped twice on 'random checks' and the car currently has an asbo :S if i get stopped again over the next 12months the car gets impounded and i get a summons - this was for being in the wrong lane on a roundabout and having to indicate to get back in the right lane half way round on a near empty roundabout at 6 in the morning, apparantly that constitutes driving without due care

It's a better, more durable finish than just rubbing it down and using rattle cans to spray it white.

Mine'll be bolted in too ;)

re the plate issue ive had one since i was 16 (on my first car) i gave it my mum and i bought a new one! which means more to me! ;) anyway when i got caught having my fog lights on many years ago! i recall a day later the police were watching me light a hawk - i pulled up at the bank and the pulled up behind me! - i got out and looked at them and they drove off!?! which at the time i thought was a bit of a joke! private plates are more trouble than there worth but i do like it on my current car! and if i ever bought another lotus it would have x2 means (to me) if you want one get one!.....but makavelli does have a point!!!!!
