Short Ratio Box

hello,

Has anyone come across a shorter ratio box for the 1*2's?

an example is people with 106 gti's put the rallye boxes into them....

just wondering if there is something similar that can be done to a sport? i have heard of the vag conversion is that short ratio? and is there any other possibilites that anyone know's of.

The only wallet friendly gearbox you can fit is a diesel one like a dci clio or a kangoo, but I don't think that's what your after.

Not really without spending mega bucks. Lower spec cars have different boxes and altho they may fit they are much weaker, the stock box isnt renowned as being bomb proof as it is.

If you have a phase 1 box its worth swapping to a phase 2 as they have a lower final drive.

i'll be adding a shorter final drive to mine next time box goes bang (it will you all know it will)
