the KTec shifter is the B+M. You get full instructions with the kit - and a nice sticker.

took me 3 hours in total to fit mine last weekend and today!

I gave myself 2 hours to fit it last weeekend but couldnt get the b*****d circlip out, so had to re-assemble - after Id destroyed the original gear knob! I had to put the plastic shell that was left of the knob back on and drive with a glove on all week!

I had a bit of help today from the bro-in-law and managed to do it, although we had some circlip pliers this time. Still, the worst bit was getting the circlip out and then back in again (he also managed to do fit some new brake pads while was fighting with the circlip).

So if youre not too handy with a spanner then Id get a pro to do it.

Ive been out in the car with the new shifter in and Im well pleased. Very precise shift, much shorter as well although a little stiff. Looks the dogs too. Hopefully itll ease up with use, otherwise my left shoulder and tricep muscles are going to get a little bigger!

i got mine from motorsportworld, the one listed is the one you need - part number 45103. Give them a ring to check if you want, they havent replied to any of the emails I sent - a bit like KTec I guess, too many emails.

I think Ill be getting a decat from them as well sometime soon.

The metal gearknob isnt too cold although the weathers warmed up lately. Still, Ive got a pair of gloves in the car just in case. Be prepared.

And Rich - Im a happily married man and dont need that kind of "exercise" these days ;) Im right-handed anyway ;)
