  Clio v6

To quote your earlier reply in the 172/Cup poll

"Cup! test drove both!"

You have tested both and now your asking?

  172, Tiguan

Ok mine is now 7 months old.

It rattles to buggery

I have had:

2 new rear shocks

2 new front lower wishbones and Front strut tops cut and remounted.

Its been in twice for rattles (and i mean rattles, not stupid clicking rattles) One they have sorted, one they havent.

Apart from these problems the car has been reliable. lol

My Cup has been great.

A few little problems like the tyre wearing out after 6000mls....but that could just be my drving....:)

If you can put up with the rattles form the less than perfectly put together interior then go for it.

But saying that even the 172 and 182 rattle...its just the way they put them together....

are all the clios made on the same line at the same factory - its just that all these rattles and parts....mines nearly 2 and has nothing? I know with the previous mk4 golf, when i bought one, some were made in egrmany, some in south africa - the latter being less well built!!

Do it, do it, do it........you wont be dissapointed!!

I did 30K in mine, and still got the same buzz driving it as in the early days. I cried and cried when it went. But I will have another one. :D

Im going deaf from the after market exhaust. Im gonna need physio on my back from the firm but fair ride, and im gonna need botox to get rid of the smile and laughter lines. Love it to bits. It rattles and it shakes, but from coming from a 106 rallye mark 1, it seems a lot better put together!

Mine was good to drive for the 3000 miles I had it, but the paintwork was sh*te and the bootlid was rusting. Backup from the dealer and Renault UK was terrible, considering Id bought a brand new £13,000 car.

I rejected it and got my money back.

The Cup is a great car to drive, but you have to accept that it will go wrong in some way (frequently) and the dealers wont help you get it fixed.
