Should i flog my 5 door to buy a 3 door

Sounds stupid but having 5 doors does my nut in. Id dehandle the rear doors but dont know how. Would it be a good idea to just flog my 5 door RT and buy a 3 door? Ive been really lucky with my car as its barely had anything wrong with it and dont think id find another one as good, but i want a 3 door! Trouble is, dont want to lose any money

What would you do??? Must buy another RT if i do as ive just bought an exhaust for it

Depends how much uve done to it m8. if uve just got an exhaust, id get a 3 door. Or any mods u can easily take off and put on ur new car.

3 doors do look the nuts tho.

just the hassle of doing it that puts me off, and the risk of losing money to buy a better looking but worse car! aaah

i havent done owt to it except interior stuff, but its stuff that i cant put back, i.e gearknob (mauled the old one to bits) and pedals (ripped off and holes drilled)... would this put buyers off???

so would it be realistic to sell my 5 door just to buy a 3 door? my RT that i have now is mechanically mint, but 5 doors! aaah! Ive spent money on gettin it fixed too. bought for 1500 and spent bout 400 on it fixing. what could i sell it for?

1995, m reg, 59k, fsh up to recently when ive had DIY servicing, T&T, good condition bar some bodywork dings (nothing major!)

Seriously. I know its difficult cause Ive been there but its worth saving for a couple of years til your 21 and buying a car you really want. (which is a valver by the sounds of it ) IMO

Another vote for save your money and go for a valver when you can. I never buy another car unless its a serious improvement on my last one. Whats the point otherwise?

Ya bugger, I am 22 and still in my RT. Bloody uni is crap, never any money (or at least not enough for a new car, and if it was a valver the repair bills) and its not really getting me anywhere.

lol im a student too its crap init, overdraft and loan city!!!! i havent actually had any real money (out of overdraft) for nearly 2 years.

to be honest, if all youve done on the inside is stuck a gearknow on, and some pedals, just leave them on if you sell the car, although, some people would rather they werent on, but who cares.

If you keep all well and good. I personally have a 1.2 and for nearly a year now, and no plans to get rif of soon.

A lot of people think its not worth buying a 1.2 8V, let alone doing anything to it. But I like it and thats all that matters. Sam can be said for a 3/5 door. BTW mines 3 door.

Just depends on how long YOU WANT to keep your car - and if you want to mod it.

P.S. Finding a mint MK1 Valver is getting harder all the time now adays, and if you wait, its gonna be even harder. Either get one asap, and b4 you do anything else to yours, or just keep yours etc.

I almost guarantee you will spend me in valver repairs than on your current one.

Mint Valvers are rare... I was looking for one for ages.

Decided Id have more chance finding a mint Williams.. so thats what Im kinda doing.. heh.. (kinda, as in, looking but not having much luck at the moment)
