Should I sell

Hi all

My 172 has done 78,000 miles, Ive never had any problems with it, but im just wondering should I sell, as the milage is rising?

Is 78,000 miles high?

no i dnt think u should sell, milage is only a number, if a car is looked after right then mileage will make no difference

with that mileage you wont sell for much, a monaco blue 172 with 70k was advertised the other day for £3,300 or something...

mines at 73k atm and driving as well now as it ever has. although I did have the engine stripped and rebuilt at about 66k as it spat a sparkplug and needed hydrocoiling. Have you had your cambelt done after 72k?

Ive had the cam belt changed, so no probs there.

I agree, if it still looks, pulls and handles well, why sell?

You'll end up spending £Ks on another car and probably get no better performance, just a newer plate.

My 52 plate 172 is now on 92,000 miles and going very strong [touches wood] I do have it serviced/ oil changes every 6K though.

I don't ever intend on selling it now.

I wouldnt sell a car based on mileage rather than happiness with the car its self!
