Can't really see them too well in the pic but you get the idea..

Casson, they perform much better and they sit below the viewing area of the screen.

I noticed a big difference from the normal wipers that my 182 had to when i got my 197 which came with flat wipers as standard.

Some of the ones on eBay arn't Bosch wipers.

Personally I think they're loads better than the standard ones, really clear the rain from the screen. Mine are the Bosch ones, from wiperblades.co.uk, who I'd recommend, speedy efficient and friendly service.

well i have found they dont put a lot of pressure onto the screen at the ends, like the end two inch!!! resulting in smear marks, suppose i could clean my car more often, but seriously it leaves water in the middle of my screen, the part it does clear they do great job, and yes i did put bosch ones on :rasp:

Yeah, i've been considering getting some, but seeing as they don't perform their function as well as my current ones i can't really justify it.

flat wipers work well on rather flat windscreens, on the clio they don't cover the end of the screen, classic ones if they're good quality do this much better. I had 2 sets of valeo flat ones, and they were a pain in the winter when snowing, a clog of ice gathered on the wiper in the area that didn't touched the windscreen properly

i don't like them at all. they also don't wipe the whole screen!
std bosch blades are much better imo.

^ i think they look slightly better, but because they are pretty rubbish, i will go back to standerd for the winter i think, mine just leave a horrible smear no matter how much i clean them or the windscreen.

an oily residue which is foul to look out of and takes roughly 6 weeks to clear away from your screen completly. Fine on other windows but i wouldnt use it again the the main screen..

They ARE much better than the std wipers! A lot better!

The first set I got were for my Polo... I went to Halfords to get some screen was and saw a set of Ripseed ones for like a tenner and thought I'd try them out... they were bloody brilliant! And I always used to get the Bosch wipers for my cars with the little spoilers and these were a vast improvement.

I had my Polo well over 90 mph and they were clearing the screen as if I was doing 30mph.

I then got a set off ebay (didn't know you could get bosch ones for the old hook type wiper arms! But think I might get a set now!) which were all of about £8 or something!!!! And again... they're brilliant!!

Although... due to the curve of the screen the last 1/2 inch (I'll take a pic to prove it's not 2 inches!) doesn't touch the screen.

So I'm going to get a set which are an inch smaller. Shimples.

I dont think they look better on 172 or 182s i think they work much better tho i hate my wipers at the mo they are s**t.

Get some Carlack window cleaner and sealant! Flat wiper's are on mine but they were when i bought it, i can't complain about them too much tbf.
