side impact sensors

Finally ive sourced all the parts to replace my airbag going off just waiting to send the module for an ecu reset. Edde had mentioned to replace the side impact sensors do these always need done? it wasnt a crash just hit a speed bump in the dark and the passenger airbag and pretensioner went off, or is there a way of checking?also where is the airbag module so i can remove it?cheers guys

IIRC the airbag sensors are all in one metal block under the cupholders.

If ones been triggered I would imagine it would all need replacing.

The module is under the cup holders as Al said.

The side impact sensors are just beneath the door sill.

I am not sure if the sensors need replacing or not though.

Have you check the rear pretensioners didn't go off?

Yea the rear passenger had gone off aswell, all ready to be replaced just wonder how i could tell if the sensors needed replaced or not

Mine went of also a while back do you need to get the ecu reset? For the airbags to work? On a phase1 Mark 2 where would the module be?

aware of what?? its a guy from germany he's on ebay just type in airbag ecu reset and he should come up, around £60 iirc
