Side repeaters, how to....

Hey y'all

Just bought somoe clear side repeaters and the relevant silver visions for my silver mk2 172.

How easy are these to change? Anyone got any tips on the best way to do it?

they are more fiddly than anything. all you have to be careful of, is that you dont let the wires drop back down in to the wing! I did, and it fukt me rite off for ages

I got the ones from k-tec, you know if they're right ones? i heard some look crap and others look great, hoping the k-tec ones aren't the crap lookers!

Spot on.

Also prize the two gaps open gently with a screwdriver on the old repeaters being careful of the bodywork. I marked the front wing on my old clio so just a warning :S

you can fit any side repeaters to any car, just a matter of preference

try wrapping a thin cloth around the screwdriver before you try prizing the old one's off, it'll help save your paintwork

Hmmm could try that but i don't fancy wrestling the gf for the credit cards!

I removed the drivers side by crashing into a tree.

^ lol, thats one way to do it. Pretty simple job as long as you take your time and mind the paintwork.

I put masking tape around it so that the screwdriver didnt mark the paintwork
