sidelights and number plate lights not working

as above my sidelights numberplate lights and the back light on the dash arnt working checked the fuses and there all fine cud it be the switch?

i would have thought fuse but maybe blown bulbs?

no they dnt work when on auto its none of the fuses checked them all and all the bulbs work aswell my mates got a power tester that plugs straight from the battery to where ever u want to test and they work fine then thats why i wondered if it cud be the switch any other suggestions wud be great cheers
