Sidelights dim when indicators come on.

My 2006 Clio Campus Sport failed the MOT yesterday.
When I activate the indicators the rear sidelights dim in unison with the indicators.
If I remove both the rear indicator bulbs the problem is not there. Removing the front bulbs makes no difference. Removing one rear bulb makes the other side dim still.
I have checked:-

Battery output voltage.
Earth and Positive terminals on battery.
All fuses removed and replaced.
All bulbs replaced for new.
I need the car desperately and need to fix this annoying problem. Can't see why it needs to fail the mot because of it.

Any help would be really appreciated.

More than likely be an earthing fault. Check and clean the rear lamp cluster earth points.

I'm not sure where the earth points are because I've never worked on a Clio. It's just a common cause of rear light faults on a wide range of vehicles.

Thanks for the help.
Turned out to be the body earth wire not earthed properly. Bypassed the fault.
