Sigma alarm help

i have got a sigma alarm fitted to the motor (it was on when i got the car). I was wondering how i could find out whee to get an instruction manual or ind out if it is cat1.
Aswel as the remote it has a little black box in the top of the drivers window with numbers in it, as if to put codes in.
Does anyone no wot this does????

should of got the codes with the car tbh mate, are there any numbers on the back of the fob at all? might give us a chance to find out the model.
the numbers i believe are to de-activate the alarm if for some reason the fob doesnt work, i.e. battery run out etc
