Silver Vision questions...

Im looking to get silvervisions for my dual optics... but im wondering why everyone says i should go for the philips ones...

I mean whats the difference between these:

Ive always used £4 ones from eBay.

Always been fine...

Some say the silver on the cheaper ones doesn't last as long.
