SIM unlocking new iPhone 3GS on Vodafone?

When my contract ends in August I was planning on using a different SIM, how do I unlock, can I?

I'm on 3.1.2 and 05.11...

Can't you do it legit on vodafone like you can on o2 and ganger network?

Apparently voda aren't unlocking just now,.. Bizarre when all contract vodas have been unlocked for as long as I know...

They'll be doing it soon I'm sure. Failing that just sell yours and buy another second hand one on o2. Throw a pay and go sim in. Get it unlocked and your sorted.

I would go down the jailbreak route just to unlock to be fair now it's do-able legit

I'll wait and see what happens, I'd they offer an unlock I'll prob go that route, but if not 4.0 will be around and I'll unlock and JB then.

OK, thought I'd go down the JB route after all, and now I have no wifi.

I've tried resetting network settings, to no avail.

Is there a fix, or maybe even a way of restoring back to 3.1.2???
