Simota cold air induction kit

Just picked up this months fat cart and inside they have got a simota cold air induction kit for the clio 172.Im just wondering if anyone has got any experience on these because its only a ton but you get the filter,housing silicone elbow,chrome looking pipe and a silicone breather pipe (i think anyway!).

Any good or bag of poo?

Its near the bottom.I think for £100 im gonna give it a go,it seems quite good.

Has anyone had one of these on their clio?

I cant belive k tec are charging over £16 more for one of them.I think i can hear my new credit card groaning already!Thank god for 0%!!!!

Im led to belive its just plastic,with carbon fibre effect.But if it works who cares what its made of.A ton for one of them or £250 for a viper.Hmmmmmmmm, tough one.

I just hope it is good and does work!

it is plastic with a carbon fibre effect

they give a very nice sound but i dont think i gained any power from it

which is why the viper is £250

It is THE SAME PRODUCT! When i got mine from K-tec it came in a Simota Racing box which had been opened and taped back up. Bit of a con really!!

We tested the Simota kit for the 172 and it lost power due to the size of the filter being too small for the 2.0l engine (we have 25 in stock that we cannot use!!!). We also helped develop the 1.4 kit but now DP are the UK dealer which is how they have been able to lower the price.

We do now have a new supplier and we will soon be reducing the price.

i got a ramcharger and do love it. gr8 sound...not sure about performance though.
