i have read a few forums and it seems 1% of the value of the car is the premium and the excess is 10% of the value of the car.

I'm looking to insure my 54' Leon Cupra R 225 for 1 day for some abuse round knockhill.

Who do you use?

Same here, I've used Competition Car Insurance, and those were the rates I paid.

I have used both CCI and Moris before. The quotes usually come out pretty similar although Moris have been £10 - £20 quid cheaper on a couple of occasions.

just got my quote from moris..

£124 for a single day - £960 excess and that covers to the value of 10k (approx value of my car)

Still seems risky!! big excess if i bend it!
