Sizeable chip in alloy - Is it dangerous?

  Clio 1.2 16V
Good afternoon all!

Drove home from work today and glanced down at my wheel upon getting out of the car to notice a bit of a chip in my alloy exposing a little bit more tyre than I feel comfortable with.

I just want to know, as I do a lot of motorway driving, is this likely to be dangerous? Will it blow out? Should I replace the alloy or are there other alternative fixes?

Please see pictured.

I don't think anyone could tell you definitively if it could result in a wheel/tyre failure.

If it was me, I would be replacing the wheel.. Especially as they are so cheap 2nd hand

as above, that's pretty nasty, in fact no idea how you didn't notice it happen, i'd of expected a bang or something

unless its vandalism on the car when stationary
