Does anyone know any offers or ways of geting this slightly cheaper than the £300 + install? Currys were doing half price box when you bought a TV, but I already have the TV

I tried calling their HD line and haggling, but they basically told me to jog on.

I take it you have normal Sky?

If so phone and say you are cancelling.

I did this when i wanted Sky+.

Went through to a manager and instead of being charged £250 for install, they dropped it to £60.

You must be bold though and stick to your guns. My mate done it and nearly bottled it but got it cheaper too.

I havent tried with HD yet.............he who dares my son, he who dares...

Yes been with them for 12 months on Sky+ with the full package. Could ring up say I am cancelling as i have been offered a better HD deal with elsewhere, is it Telewest who offer it???

I tried earlier this week Tom and tbh, despite much haggling didn't get a discount but then I might end up with one after the shocking install they did (see other thread!).

Is it worth it?

I watched one of the Ashes Tests in HD and didnt think it was worth the extra cost imo. It was nice you could tell the batsman hadnt shaved that morning, but other than that I'm sticking to poormansDef till it comes down in price.
