sky + help!!

i currently have standard sky but want to upgrade to sky +
however sky want silly money to do this
is it possible to just buy a second hand sky + box and get it that way or is there more to it than that?

Need a second cable run from the dish, but if you can do that and buy a second hand box you won't need to go through Sky.

eBay i'd imagine? Sure Sky are charging £70 and free fitting just now are they not? Or phone them and tell them you want to leave and try and wangle it for cheaper/free.
