If you upgrage from normal sky, to sky+, is there a case of doing anything other than pulling the wires out and plugging them into the new box?

Sky want £60 off my Mum for it, and if it's just unplugging the wires, then they can stick their £60.

yer they have to run a cable with 2 wires in from the dish to the box

they refuse to go into loft though so unless you want it run around the outside of your house you have to do it yourself anyway lol

They fit a quad LNB, another run of coax or maybe two if they decide to replace the existing one. Then its a case of forcing the new Sky + box to do a OTA update, then perform a call back with Sky, then ring Sky and pair the viewing card with Sky and setup the Sky + service.

Not a problem about it going down the outside of the house, it goes down the entry between my Mums and next doors, so no big deal.
